The vineyards are located on the deep, gravelly soils deposited eons ago by the Arroyo Seco River, which gives its name to this unique viticultural appellation. Jekel's vineyards, Gravelstone and Sanctuary Estate, showcase the Arroyo Seco's ideal conditions for growing premium wine grapes. Jekel Vineyards produces these premium estate bottled wines: Johannisberg Riesling, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Tasting room open 10am-5pm, daily. The Monterey Vineyard plays host to a variety of services. Located 45 minutes from the Monterey Peninsula, the winery is open daily from 10am-5pm for wine tasting and tours at designated times. Works by local artists are featured through rotating exhibits. Banquet facilities are available for private groups.
